NASHVILLE, TN (January 10, 2023) – The V3Gate Foundation, whose primary goal is to support the U.S. military community and other charitable organizations, hosted a fundraiser on December 14 for SongwritingWith:Soldiers in Austin, TX at a local establishment. The event brought in over $17,500 from all of the donors.

SongwritingWith:Soldiers holds weekend retreats across the U.S. for veterans from all conflicts. Since 2012, the nonprofit organization has connected with thousands of veterans and military families, creating a safe and inspiring environment to share their
experiences and write songs with professional songwriters. These songs have been recorded and streamed across the internet, reaching and connecting more veterans and raising civilian awareness of the challenges the military community faces.

The fundraiser was attended by a group of folks from several companies which contributed, along with a community that works with and supports Veterans. Tad Ronzca, President of V3Gate, introduced the V3Gate Foundation just before the festive attendees broke out in a round of “O Holy Night” spotlighted by the voice of an angel named Robin. The evening left folks heading into the holidays full of spirit and wouldn’t have been possible without the elf-like work done by Matt Ehrhardt, V3Gate Director of Civilian Sales. Lastly, they tell us there is also a man behind the curtains and near the end of evening they heard Ol’ Bruce saying he “Loves the Veteran, the Country Songwriter and the Man Upstairs.”

Along with personal contributions on the night of the event, the following companies contributed to make the night possible: V3Gate, The Purpose Foundation, DexteriTech Solutions, Hull IT Solutions, VetsEZ, ScienceLogic, Nutanix, Axonius, Planned Systems International, Carahsoft, Okta, Veritas, ServiceNow, Favor TechConsulting, PingWind, Ventech Solutions, Cockroach Labs, FCN Inc, Deloitte, Red Hat, Cloudera, Mulesoft, GDIT, VSO, Elastic, Palo Alto Networks, Appian, Dynatrace, TEKsystems, Zscaler, VMware, WWT, iTech AG and Chive Charities.

About SongwritingWith:Soldiers
SongwritingWith:Soldiers is an evidence-based program using collaborative songwriting as a catalyst for positive change. SW:S provides a safe space and truly neutral ground—it is non-military, non-therapy, non-religious and non-political. Through their songs and retreat activities, participants rediscover their strengths and creativity to reconnect with family, friends, and networks with ongoing support. The songs are recorded and shared through streaming, concerts, and social media in order to bridge military and civilian communities, ultimately building awareness of the challenges faced by our returning service members.
All songs can be streamed for free. An album of music written in the program, Rifles and Rosary Beads, released by artist Mary Gauthier, was nominated for a 2019 GRAMMY Award.
